This model is a very cost-effective way of accessing psychotherapy for personal or professional development, making it easier for those travelling from outside York to attend. This model limits travel and encourages difficulties to be explored in a focused way.
We have three therapy groups run by experienced group psychotherapists, Sara Perren, Debbie Warburton and Chris MacGregor.
The group conducted by Chris MacGregor is offered online only, for those who prefer not to travel. All online groups are weekly.
Each group session lasts one and a half hours.
Structure of the day
First session 10.00 – 11.30
Second session 12.00 – 13.30
Third session 14.30 – 16.00
The groups meet in central York at the St Bede’s Pastoral Centre, 21 Blossom St, York YO24 1AQ. The venue is a few minutes walk from York Railway Station. Parking is available on a Saturday at a reduced cost.

The fee per session is £38.16 for both in person and online groups.
Fees are paid on the 1st of each month in advance by standing order, in 12 monthly instalments.
Fees are subject to review and potentially a modest increase from March each year.

Initial consultation appointments
The group conductor will offer individual consultation appointments to those interested in joining the group, to get a sense of your difficulties and to prepare you for the group. The initial consultation fee is £80. Any subsequent one to one sessions would be £65.

Therapists work on a confidential basis, as outlined in our privacy policy, which will be discussed with you prior to commencing therapy.
